FAQs are provided for general guidance. Full terms are set out in our Studio Terms, Booking Policies, and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

  • All payments are made online via secure invoice or booking checkout. Payment must be completed before sessions begin unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Yes. Invoices and receipts are automatically issued via email once payment is made. Please check your spam folder before contacting us.

  • Payment is due in advance of your session or service. Retainers must be paid by the agreed monthly payment date to remain active.

  • Payment plans are offered at our discretion and must be agreed in advance. Missed instalment payments may result in sessions being paused.

  • If a payment fails or is overdue:

    • Sessions may be paused or cancelled

    • Files and deliverables will not be released

    • Retainer hours may be frozen until the account is settled

  • No. Any recordings, mixes, masters, or project files remain the property of KCX Studios until all outstanding balances are paid in full.

  • Refunds are not guaranteed and are assessed in line with our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Once studio time has been used, it is non-refundable.

  • Retainer rollovers are limited and must be agreed in advance. Unused hours may expire at the end of the billing period unless otherwise stated in your agreement.

  • If you believe a payment was made in error, please contact us immediately by email. If the payment has already been processed, you may also need to contact your bank for further review.

  • No. All payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers. KCX Studios does not store or have access to your card or bank details.

    For subscriptions or retainers, your payment provider securely stores your details and automatically processes payments on the agreed schedule.

  • If a payment is disputed or flagged, sessions and deliverables may be paused while the matter is reviewed by the payment provider.

IS THERE ANYWHERE TO EAT NEARBY?

Yes. There are several restaurants and takeaways within walking distance, as well as a Co-op supermarket approximately six minutes away.

A microwave, air fryer, fridge, freezer, and kettle are also available in the studio kitchen for light food preparation.

CAN YOU SUPPLY SESSION MUSICIANS?

Yes. We work with a trusted network of session musicians who can be introduced where required. Session musicians are charged separately from studio time and are subject to availability. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

HOW MUCH STUDIO TIME WILL I NEED TO BOOK FOR MY PROJECT?

For a semi-prepared song, we generally recommend booking a minimum of three hours.
The exact time required depends on your preparation, studio experience, and the complexity of the session.
Three hours typically allows time to settle in, record comfortably, review takes, make adjustments, and create a rough mix.

All bookings are subject to our Studio Terms & Booking Policies.
For larger projects, retainers, or bespoke services, we may recommend an initial consultation to ensure the session is set up correctly.

WHO OWNS THE MATERIAL YOU RECORD AT THE STUDIO?

Ownership of your recordings remains with you once all agreed fees have been paid in full.
Where KCX Studios’ producers or engineers contribute creatively (including composition, lyrics, melody, or instrumentation).
Appropriate credits and royalty splits may apply and will be agreed in writing.
No recordings, masters, or session files will be released while any balance remains outstanding.
Ownership of your recordings remains with you once all agreed fees have been paid in full.

No. We welcome artists and creators at all stages, from beginners to established professionals.
Our role is to provide a focused, supportive environment tailored to your level and goals.
